We have learnt over the last decade that adverse events occur not because bad people intentionally hurt patients but rather that the system of health care today is so complex that the successful treatment and outcome for each patient depends on a range of factors, not just the competence of an individual health-care provider but the adoption of a pro-active system-wide approach to patient safety.

This programme seeks to develop a core team that will improve patient safety through quality service delivery in health care institutions and strengthen their potential to change the workplace culture for overall improvement clinical and non-clinical operational processes.

This intensive executive programme will produce change agents that will create an enabling environment for continuous service delivery improvement. It will reduce avoidable harms and preventable deaths in our hospitals.
